I love this show, I LOVE THIS SHOW. This show is so made for me it made me question the nature of objective reality. Like, am I experiencing things outside of myself of just conjuring new content out of constellations of references in my past?

This show has all my 90's queens. Christina Ricci! Julliette Lewis! and Melanie Lynsky ! Whom most people will probably now recognize from Don't look Up but the real G's (and specifically the queer women) will remember her from Peter Jackson's early masterpiece Heavenly Creatures one of my most favorite movies of all time.

The 90's queens star as the grown-up versions of a group of girls we follow in flashback scenes. The girls are the Yellowjacket girl's soccer team whose plane was downed in the Canadian wilderness as they are on their way to Nationals.

The girls are trapped in the outback for a yet to be known amount of time, but what we learn in the opening scene of the first episode is that their quest for survival sees them turn from plucky but scared teens into cannibalistic warring tribes. Yes you read that last line correctly .
